Continental Airlines is represented in New Zealand by World Aviation Systems


Continental Airlines serves more international destinations than any other American carrier and continues to win awards for its outstanding service.
Continental's New York/Newark hub connects the city with the most non-stop international destinations, while the Houston hub serves more cities in Mexico and Central America than any other airline.
Continental has announced its plans to return to online flights to New Zealand, with non-stop flights from its Houston hub to Auckland, commencing in November 2011, subject to government approval.

CONTINENTAL AIRLINES HISTORY

1934 Continental Airlines was founded and its first flight was between Pueblo, Colorado and El Paso, Texas.
1959 First jet aircraft entered service
1970 First wide-bodied aircraft entered service (B747)
1977 Commenced service to Australia and New Zealand
1984 First flight to Europe - Newark and Houston to London
1986 Become third largest US airline with the consolidation of Frontier, People Express and New York Air.
1998 Alliance with Northwest Airlines announced.
2009 Continental joins the Star Alliance
